Religiões da China

Author: Joseph A. Adler

Religions of China is a concise introduction to the history of religion in China and its ramifications in contemporary China. With particular emphasis on the four major religious traditions-Confucianism, Tauism, Buddhism, and folk religion-this book addresses the ethical and religious ideas as well as the practices inherent in each tradition. The book identifies themes that are common in Chinese society from its earliest days to the present, and also highlights the ways in which each tradition has responded to and influenced political and cultural change.
